# Who can use HPC services

# Academic staff

Individuals employed in research, research-and-teaching, or teaching positions at scientific institutions or public universities listed in the POL-on database, who hold at least a doctoral degree.

Verification of academic status is carried out by:

  • confirming the possession of an institutional email address, and
  • indicating a method of verifying the position (e.g., via the university website)

Other persons indicated by the academic staff member — such as:

  • collaborators,
  • PhD students, or
  • students participating in joint projects
may also use the services granted by PCSS.

💡 All services are provided free of charge.
Users are required to:

  • include an acknowledgment in publications resulting from computations performed at PCSS, and
  • submit a list of such publications once per year.

# Students

Students can use PCSS services as part of:

  • academic courses,
  • engineering, master’s, or doctoral theses.

Access to services requires creating a student space, and student status must be confirmed.
This is done by using a university email address confirming affiliation with an academic institution.

🧩 Services are provided free of charge, but students must:

  • confirm access to their university email address once per semester,
  • to maintain their affiliation status.

# Public access

Individuals who are neither students nor academic staff may also use PCSS computing services.
